JOEL JUAREZ directed the DGA award winning dark comedy Pelea de Gallos about a man’s search for a prize winning rooster. More award winning films followed including his feature film debut, Generation Last, a global warming thriller and Showtime’s beautiful documentary Eating Insects, about Mexico’s ancestral culinary traditions. He has also directed documentary series and pilots including Adventurous Chef and the narrative pilots Unsentenced, Daddy Ball, Night Work, and Slaves. Joel is all about a stylized storytelling and has commercial work for Nike, Black Earth, and Budlight.
Alicia comes from the world of independent film production where she’s worked on over a dozen feature films. Through her indie experience, Alicia has become a top-notch problem-solver and trouble-shooter. Whether on-set or in the office, Alicia uses her excellent organizing skills to keep everything Joel is involved in running smoothly.  A Chicago native, Alicia is bilingual in English and Spanish, holds a BA in Film & TV Production, and is a member of the Director’s Guild of America.  She credits her love of television and movies to her beloved grandparents who forbid her from watching any media as a child.

​Jano studied classical literature at the UNAM, screenplay in the center of film training and dramatic literature applied to Television in the Cefac. His second feature film screenplay won the scholarship of Sundance in 2006 and support for the workshop of Ibermedia script Edition in Santiago de Chile, in 2009. He works with journalist Denise Maerker (Telefórmula). Advises scripts for Fonca, Imcine and CCC. His recent screenplays won the scholarship to writers of the Fundación Carolina in Spain. He is the series writer of the historical series of the Televisa revolution.

Lee Talbert has been writing screenplays for 16 years, while holding various other roles such as: engineer, consultant, business owner, and South American fly fisherman.
A Durango native, Pedro Avila is a 12 year veteran with film & digital expertise. He shoots episodic television for multiple award winning directors and networks such as NBC/Telemundo, Univision, TV Azteca, Gourmet Channel, and Televisa.  Shooting Feature & Short films, TV pilots and Commercials Pedro excels at lighting and framing to create powerful story-driven images. 

Jerry’s cinematography credits include the Oscar nominated Exit Through The Gift Shop & last year’s Sundance hit City of Gold. He’s currently chronicling the life and work of Dr. Dre. & Jimmy Iovine. He continues to serve as DP for docs on VICELAND, MTV, BET, NatGeo, and Discovery.

POST PRODUCTION Television Editor
Elise Ludwig is a veteran television professional with more than 15 years of experience. Her work as a video editor spans over 100 episodes of different shows for broadcast and cable television networks, including PBS, History Channel, TLC, Discovery Channel, MSNBC and NBC. Her contributions to the episode of “Who Do You Think You Are?” featuring Bryan Cranston earned her a 2016 primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Picture Editing. Her editing work on MSNBC’s “Lockup” also employed her extensive research and writing skills.

Since the early 90’s Juan has maintained a productive career as a picture editor in film and television. Primarily an editor for episodic television, his credits have included: New York Undercover, Soul Food, Resurrection Blvd, CSI Miami, Beauty And The Beast, Queen of the South for USA Channel, and Doubt.  Juan has edited a number of independent films, including Paraiso and he was nominated for an Ariel (Mexico ’s Oscar) for editing work on 7 Dias.
